Botany day one and two

Botany day one was a course introduction only as structured by the course support materials.

The first laboratory was an indoor-outdoir introduction to botanic diversity.

Heading down to see the liverwort and moss

The session began in A101 with a slide deck. This included a look at OneZoom. Then I took the class outside to see some exemplars of the plants in the presentation. The cycad had two cones and pollen could be seen. Polypodiopsida was covered at the cycad. Cyanobacteria was available just west of the learning resource center. Then the class went on to see liverworts and mosses.

A search for Palhinhaea cernua to the west of the student union was unsuccessful. Ipomoea aquatica and Ipomoea triloba were seen on this leg of the walk.
