Latitude and longitude hide and seek
Starting with the solstices and equinoxes presentation took too much time at 24 minutes.
I ran out of time in the latitude and longitude introduction at 11:42 and had to try to pack GPS Essentials into the last eight minutes.
The prime meridian was not well covered, time ran out. Solstice should perhaps move back to Friday perhaps displacing the traditional navigation play list.
At the hide.
Latitude: N 06° 54.509'
Longitude: E 158° 09.493'
Just below the dining hall, but I entered from the Daniel store side and crossed two valleys to reach this location.
Austin was lead on the first and only group to find me group. Austin arrived at the hide by 12:15, a very fast find. He was careful to not be satisfied until all of the digits matched.
Kayla and Vandasia were part of the lead group, Vandasia was navigating with her own phone.
Tayshaun and Valencia were also in the first group.
Once we left the hide and re-emerged on the open campus, around 12:30, some of the other students had arrived in the general area, but none had moved down into the forest.
