Clidemia hirta pulling

Small plants had re-appeared at previous pull locations. No large clumps were found, but lots of new growth was found.

Some pulled clumps were surviving even in the air due to dirt on their roots.

Misako Manuel works on smaller plants.

Roxann and Joey work together to pull a larger plant. The roots dig in very effectively to the muddy soil.

Holding a small shrub/mini-tree form of Clidemia hirta, I point out the running stems that produce adventitious roots.

Riahpen roht: the dark curse. Clidemia hirta. My thanks to Mae for taking the pictures!
