Acceleration
Acceleration in physical science began with accelerating a RipStik in the parking lot. Both runs had reasonably smooth accelerations through the first 800 centimeters.
Beyond 800 to 1000 centimeters the rate of acceleration fell off and gave way to deceleration.
On Wednesday four ball arcs were traced by students on the white board. One was selected to generate homework for Friday.
Thursday the class measured the acceleration of gravity, including drops from 400 cm and 500 cm.
Lower drops were done from inside the classroom.
Donia steadies the meter sticks while Bireen holds the ball. Joelynn is holding the lowest meter stick.
Larry uses the wall to steady his meter sticks.
Frauleen and Misako hold meter sticks.
