Good Friday and Easter

The Women's Christian Association of the Kosrae Congregational church of Kolonia, Pohnpei held a "black-out" service on the evening of Good Friday replete with the reading the bible passages in complete darkness. The service starts in the light.

The service is emotional and some of the women weep during the service.

Then the lights are turned out. Initially there are no candles lit. Then candles are lit one by one.

Finally all the candles are lit and ceremony is brought to a close.

The following Sunday during Easter service the Kosrae Upward Bound students visiting from Kosrae were a guest choir at the church.
