Dairy Queens and Princesses

Today was a day of solid work. I continued weed whacking under the electric fence, finishing the east and north side of the electric fence. I have yet to green machine the west side of the electric fence.

Then I bush whacked with a machete followed by a weed whacking with a green machine red trail to white trail down to blue trail, back up lower white, all of magenta, orange and rewhacked blue, green, yellow. Barb and then toured blue, orange back to magenta. I noted one trail that was in error, but Barb thought it might be usable. I noted a second trail that was once a trail at one time and was now reopened.

We then walked purple up to the end of the pastures, cut across to teal, and walked teal. The trails are in good shape - last night I took the mountain bike down east on yellow down from the prairie circle, south on green, and back northwest on blue, returning to the house via the driveway.

While Barb and I walked, my son read off GPS coordinates which are being used to build paths for the trails in Google Earth. That work is ongoing.

After the tour, Shrue and I went out with the chain saw to clear trees from sections of orange.

In the evening, Argyle honored the outgoing 208-2009 Dairy Queen and crowned the 2009-2010 Dairy Queen. Current and former Dairy Queens were in attendance at the event held in Argyle.

The kids enjoyed ice cream from the local 4H and played on a neighbors swing set.
She next dropped off, having lost all momentum necessary to reach the next ring.
After playing on the swing set, the kids got a tour of an EMS ambulance.
