An El NiƱo southwest wind generated a south wind between the buildings. The venturi effect increased the crosswind speed. Despite this, the ball generally rolled straight. The slight slope offsets friction quite nicely.

The 11:00 lab was back in the classroom by 12:15, 36 minutes earlier than the 8:00 section. This was both a reflection of a slower start at 8:00, the need to write directions on the board at 8:00, and that the 11:00 class was more adept at using the chronographs. They needed far fewer runs to get good data.
