Marble momentum conservation

As in prior terms, this class featured a silent start. Not a word was spoken. The above diagram was put on the board. Then rulers and marbles were distributed. No explanation was given. No directions. For the first 20 minutes nothing was said. The students worked out that they were to run through the above scenarios. The silent start means that there isn't the opportunity to gather predictions.

Eytriann and Mor-Jacinta engaged with the experiment

Eytriann and Lidy-Loreen

Every student had a rulers and ten or more marbles

One in, one out
Stacy, one in fast. One out fast, plus a second slower outbound marble

Emensio, Tikikos, Kyle, and McGievens

After everyone had generally exhausted the scenarios, the results were pulled together.

Leading into the conservation of momentum
