Moodle workshop 20 May 2025

The workshop evaluation asked faculty to respond to prompts by agreeing or disagreeing with the prompt. The responses were converted to numeric values:

  1. Strongly disagree
  2. Disagree
  3. Neutral
  4. Agree
  5. Strongly agree
Three sessions were conducted with pre-workshop titled focuses on basic training, turnitin awareness, and advanced training.

The afternoon advanced training received the highest overall average rating.

Combining the responses for all three sessions, the instructors found the sessions to be informative and responded that they will be able to apply what they have learned.

The basic Moodle training in the morning received the highest means for being informative and applicability. The afternoon advanced session also saw high ratings on these same two metrics. Instructors found the session to be information and useful.

List two things you liked most about the sessions

  • Clear and structured
  • Generating Quizzes and Assignments
  • I find all the information is useful.
  • How to properly used the resources folder to populate courses.
  • The first one was using the resources,  how to create file, folder, book, url etc...to be able to deliver lessons effectively.  The second, part is using the activities and the proper of utilizing quizzes, grades, questions and uploading images and activities like writing or presentations or essays on moodle using the turnitin. We looked at more activities but I am identifying two for now.

List two recommendations for improvement of the sessions

  • More advanced features
  • Let Instructors choose what training they need and split them into groups.
  • Open up the training to the ones in need. Or build smaller groups with specific topic/training in need. Offer the training online instead of in person.
  • How to modify fonts and add tables, etc
  • Everything prepared today was fine with me.
  • I would recommend that everyone attends and share how they use moodle effectively, and to wait until the presenters stop or end their explanations before we speak, because while I'm focusing on them, some of us are either talking or cut them off which I believe to be disrespectful as instructors or adults.

From what you know of Moodle at present, what areas should future Moodle training focus upon?

  • Outcomes, Rubrics, Competencies
  • Converting Microsoft word file saved test and submitting it on Moodle instead of creating one item once.
  • I am able to utilize the functions on Moodle. No specific training in need.
  • How to use Moodle's other actions on tools menu
  • Other AI tools available to use in Moodle.
  • New things.
