Faculty workshop evaluation 07 and 08 August 2023
The faculty development workshop consisted of six sessions held across two days. The six sessions in the workshop were:
- Information sharing sessions
- Accessing online resources for both faculty and students: Cengage Unlimited
- Google Workspace for Education and Canvas update
- Program coordinators introduction and their purpose
- Closing the loop on assessment
- Digital devices preventative maintenance and personal safety
The evaluation for each session included the same four statements:
- Presentations were informative
- The amount of time was sufficient
- Feature coverage was sufficient
- I will be able to apply what I have learned
Response options were numerically encoded on a one to five scale:
- Strongly disagree
- Disagree
- Neutral
- Agree
- Strongly agree

List two things you liked most about the sessions
- Information sharing
- Cleaning equipments.
- Cengage Unlimited, Gadget Maintenance
- taking care of electronics and linking cslo to pslo and unto islo.
- Collaboration
- Closing the Loop and Wellness and Safety Presentations
- On time
- Digital Device presentation- very informative and applicable
- Workplace safety Digital learning devices maintenance
- Information on the presentations Cengage and Digital Devices
- Chance to interact with colleagues. Session on Financial aid and maintenance.
- They were generally to the point and made good use of the time allotted.
- Collaboration part among colleagues
List two recommendations for improvement
- Prepare information packets for activities through Google drive so we don't have to search on our disorganized website.
- Ensure to coordinate with IT department to provide technical assistance to participants.
- Start on time.
- Fresh milk for the coffee.
- Technical support from IT not sufficient
- 2nd day of workshop started very late and went way beyond the time. Recommend sticking to the program and starting on time.
- Better time management next time please.
- Set time limit for presentations so that we can have enough time for the presentations that really need the time.
- Be on time
- Time management was poor
- Assign IT people to be available, just in case participants are supposed to go online to participate
- Have more extension cords/ power strips available for each table"

- Can we do Faculty workshops 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester
- Have ice breakers for each presentation...
What areas do you want to see covered in future faculty development workshops?
- Include IT, MITC, and the Business Office in the Information Sharing Session.
- Using rubrics in Canvas.
- Some new stuffs other than assessment, say, creating an effective rubric
- More on the use of Canvas.
- More assessments
- More on Tracdat
- Work life balance
- Enhancing student engagement
- Maybe bringing in the library team to introduce library resource for class.
- Presentation on Canvas and Tracdat

- Thank you for your kind and appreciative attitude towards the faculty and staff.

- Very good overall. Great workshop!
- Have more Tracdat trainings to make assessment and course mapping across the discipline much better and universally applied.
