Schoology Test/Quiz versus Assessment material item visual appearance on mobile
Schoology has two modules that can be used to prepare online tests.
The older of the two modules is the Test/Quiz material item and is available in both Schoology Basic and Schoology Institutional. The second of the two is the Assessment module. This blog partially explores how these may display on a mobile device such as a smartphone.

Font sizes are smaller than that first screenshot suggests. The test will appear as a single scrolling page.
The above is the introductory material to a test or quiz as seen in the Schoology Android app, again, the instructor's view.
The page remains a single scrolling page, font sizes are visually slightly larger.
With a fill in the blank problem, the keyboard will come up.
Font size is visually the largest in the Assessment material type. The type does appear to have been designed to be more mobile friendly.
Instead of a single scrolling page, each question is on a separate page. Upon initial load there may be a time lag before the page can be scrolled to get to the bottom multiple choice answer. This is the situation seen above, the fourth item is partially off-screen and there was a delay before scrolling could be done to bring it up on screen.
This is the same question, now scrolled. Access to the next question is at the bottom of each question. Again, font sizes are visually larger, easier to read. The green frame is part of the instructors interface noting that this is a preview.
This author has more experience with the test/quiz material type. Test/Quiz materials include the ability to obtain item analysis by question - a capability not present in the Assessment material type. Test/Quiz materials also permit post hoc editing and adding of answers that they automatically update all test scores in the section. This does not seem to be the case with the Assessment material type. If students have entered a correct but different answer, then the process to correct this is much more labor intensive for the Assessment type. That said, Assessment materials have more question types and do appear to be better designed for use on tablet and mobile devices such as smartphones.
